Alpine and Expedition Training

This course of alpine training and 4000m Peaks is set in a magnificent and unspoilt area of Kyrgyzstan far away from the crowded European Alps. The beautiful Ak-Sai glacier lies in the Ala Archa National Park, a protected alpine area in the Tien Shan Mountains of Kyrgyzstan. You will acclimatise whilst undergoing training in: ice axe and crampons, glacial travel, crevasse rescue, roping up and movement over glaciated alpine terrain, rock climbing and belaying.

This week of Arctic Expedition Training will prepare you physically and mentally for your goal - The Last Degree on the South or North Pole, Mountain Peaks like Mt Vinson and Denali.

Based in Kranjska Gora, a beautiful, accommodating Slovenian town with stunning views of the mountains. We aim to develop your skills to improve your confidence in climbing graded ice routes.
