Mont Blanc Summit

Mont Blanc Summit

From £3,395
Altitude 4,810m Grade: Intermediate
6 Mountain Days Guide Ratio: 1:2 3 days & 1:1 3 days

Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in Western Europe, known locally as 'The Monarch'.

This Mont Blanc Summit Course will recap on essential skills whilst undertaking a careful programme of acclimatisation. Over the course of the week we will aim to climb two peaks from Aiguille Rouge (2800m), Petit Fourche (3520m) and Aiguille du Tour (3554m), thus giving you the best possible chance of a successful ascent of Mont Blanc. We offer a choice of either the classic route to Mont Blanc’s summit via the Dôme du Goûter or the traverse of the North-East Ridge via Mont Maudit and Mont Blanc du Tacul, also known as the 3 Monts route. The route will be chosen based on individual levels of fitness, weather, conditions on the mountain and Alpine hut availability. In case of adverse weather conditions, we will attempt alternative peaks to make the most of our time.

If you have no previous Alpine experience, we recommend one of our Alpine Introduction courses in either Chamonix or Arolla. Once you have completed an introduction course you would then be able to join the Mont Blanc course.

Please note the Mont Blanc huts book up very quickly so we advise booking your course as early as possible (before the New Year if possible).

Adventure Peaks is the real deal. A totally professional company that puts you first, all of the staff are the best at what they do, a clear love of the mountains is at your core, and this is why you get it right. Friendly, professional, straight talking advice. Hannah [our guide] was perfect. We could not have asked for any better, she managed our expectations of what an Alpine guide should be like, from the start, every call, shout, decision she made was on the ball. Her pace while travelling was set to the right rate to allow us to enjoy the trip and take in the views of the Alps, but not too slow...It was clear to see she has the respect of her fellow guides and hut guardians. Her method of instruction during our glacier training was set at the right level, she was quick to iron out bad habits I have picked up, in such a way not to cause offence or embarrassment. She gave sound advice on our future Alpine adventures. Spending time with Hannah has given me the confidence to try things on my own in the Alps, which is what I wanted. Hannah lives up to the reputation of the qualification she holds...inspirational. I had a fantastic experience with you guys.
