The Scottish Winter Skills Weekend is ideal for those with no previous winter hill walking experience, you will learn the basics of cramponing, ice axe arrest and avalanche awareness.
We aim to cover the following topics:
The courseis based out of the Onich Hotel mid-way between Glencoe and Fort William giving easy access to Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Aonach Mor and the Mamores whilst carrying a 8-10kg rucksack.

Day 1 | On the first evening there will be a group briefing by a member of the Adventure Peaks team to give an overview of our courses, outline clothing and equipment needs and to issue you with any hire kit required. |
Day 2 | The first day will develop your skills to move safely and efficiently on snow covered terrain as well as what to do in the event of a slip.

Day 3 | A full mountain day taking in a Munro (summit over 3000ft). The day will finish at 4.30pm to allow homeward travel or extend to climb Ben Nevis on an optional Day 4 |
