Another text in from Paul reporting that he and his two clients continue to enjoy excellent snow conditions and weather up in the High Atlas. Today they reached the top of Ouankerim (4088m), the second highest summit in Morocco. It certainly seems Morocco is the place to be this winter!!

8th January
The stable weather is continuing in the High Atlas of Morocco so Paul, Nigel and Phil have been out on the hill continuing their skills training and getting up some good climbs. Yesterday they did some short ice climbs and learnt about using ice threads, ice screws, dug snow holes, practiced ice axe arrest and learnt how to search for people buried in an avalanche.
Today they had a long day out from 0700 t0 1800, enjoying a 3 pitch climb on ice, snow and rock.
