Course report: Michael Thomas
Course: Scottish Winter Walking Skills

Saturday

We spent some time in the morning planning the day and interpreting the avalanche report and making some safe route  choices for the day a head.  then we headed out to Buachaille Etive Beag for some navigation and snow skills then Ice axe arrest practice and a journey getting used to our crampons.

Sunday

With much better weather and a much more stable snow pack we head up the north ridge on Buachaille Etive Mor to put yesterdays skills into practice.  we went to the 902 spot height and then descended coire na Tulaich. Thanks to Susan, Nicole and Paul for a very enjoyable couple of days.
